We will take an example to learn:product of two numbers of two digit each.

Step 1:
We will take last 1 digit
from each numbers

Ans : xx0 , CARRY : 2
Step 2 :
We will take last 2 digits
from each numbers

2x5+4x3 = 10 + 12 = 22
We add the carry = 2
to 22 and get 24
Ans : x40 carry = 2
Step 3
We will take first 1 digit
from each numbers

We add the carry = 2
to 6 and get 8
Ans = 840
This picture is a generalized form for product of three digit number.same is possible for four,five,six...n digit numbers.You can also multiply two numbers with different number of digits.
